Alexandrina Results for the Christmas Session (23 December 2015)

All the interPartner gift giving was brilliant, witty, touching and so enjoyable we decided that all the prizes should become multiple door prizes and the director was having so much fun that he neglected to note who got what. The prizes were a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, a Christmas cake and four separate boxes of  chocolates.

The director received a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates and several cards from the players (or "Bridge Mob"). Even though he thinks he is just doing his job, he is grateful for the acknowledgment and would like to thank everyone.

Alexandrina Bridge continues unabated over the Christmas-New Year period. See you there this Wednesday (today actually - better get a move on).

Reminder about the Christmas Session being held on 23 December: no table fee, instead spend it on a small gift for your partner; bring some Christmassy fare for your own afternoon tea and to share. Following the gift giving, the player voted as having given the best (whatever that might mean) gift gets to choose between a bottle of (yer actual) Champagne and a (yet to be identified and procured) Grande Christmas Cake as a reward. The reward not chosen will become a door prize for some lucky player.

Readers having any information about likely candidates for Grande Christmas Cake are invited to share it via a comment on this posting.

There will be no break in playing Wednesdays over Christmas and the New Year.
