Alexandrina Results for 26 March 2014

The deals were generated from a deal file that was previously used on 26 February, so we could compare the two result files. However, we had 7 tables previously and only 5 this time and no one except Norman B played exactly the same hands twice and I know he doesn't remember a thing.

We had a board mix-up with our 6 Table Mitchell Bystand session and 6 hands out of 144 have been averaged with the main offending partnership being fined one match point (applied after averaging) for what I consider a fair and reasonable result. Of course, it is the Director's responsibility to ensure the correct boards are being played and I thought I had made sure the feed in boards where correct after the first round. Alas ...

Disgruntled  partnerships can have me defend my adjustments next week when I will bring with me all the travelers, including those for the substitute hands.

Alexandrina Results for 12 March 2014

The session was shortened by 1 round for an extended afternoon tea commemorating Sue and John with a presentation chocolate cake (an echo of John's superb fruit cake) and also the first anniversary of Bill and Jane tying the knot.

As for card play, Ben will need to come back as soon as possible (he has other commitments next Wednesday) to collect his winner's prize.

Back in the Rosa Room next week.

OK, here we go ...

This is going to be a work in progress for a while but at least it is a start.  I cannot load session results as text in an elegant format at the moment so what you are looking at are actually .jpg images of the scoring program's result screen. For Alexandrina, I have been announcing the results and handing out the winners prizes and so I am now abandoning the announcement and giving up the little bit of teasing I would do from time to time.

The hand records are also .jpg files. The printouts at the end of sessions have always been .jpg's - it's the simplest way for me to handle them. You can click on the image to download it just make sure when you print it that you select shrink or expand to fit your paper size.

I will be trying to post results as soon as they become available but no promises.
